Psychiatry Student Interest Group (PSIG)

Mission

The Psychiatry Student Interest Group (PSIG) introduces medical students to the field of psychiatry through meaningful engagement with clinical faculty, community physicians, and guest speakers. Through discussions on topics such as psychiatry subspecialties, career pathways, and work–life balance, PSIG provides early exposure to the breadth of psychiatric practice. The organization also promotes professional development, mentorship, and networking while fostering a supportive community for students interested in psychiatry.
